Morrill KS electrician on power line poleThere are several options to obtain electrician training in a trade or technical school near Morrill KS. You can choose a diploma or certificate program, or obtain an Associate Degree. Bachelor’s Degrees are offered at certain schools, but are not as common as the first three options. Frequently these programs are made available in conjunction with an apprenticeship program, which are mandated by the majority of states in order to be licensed or if you intend to earn certification. Following are brief descriptions of the three most prevalent programs available.

  • Certificate and Diploma Programs are generally offered by Kansas technical and trade schools and require about a year to finish. They furnish a good foundation and are aimed towards those who want to get into an apprenticeship more quickly as a journeyman electrician.
  • Associate Degree Programs involve two years to complete and are offered by Kansas community colleges, usually as an Associate Degree in Electrical Technology. They furnish a more extensive education while supplying the foundation that prepares students to join their apprenticeship program.
